ROME PROPOSAL PHOTOSHOOT | ENGAGEMENT PHOTOSHOOT

There’s something magical about a surprise proposal: a single moment when love, emotion, and anticipation come together in a story worth remembering forever. With over 10 years of experience as a couple photographer in Rome, I’ve had the honor of capturing countless Rome proposal photoshoot. Each as unique as the couples behind them. I know Rome inside and out—from iconic landmarks to hidden, intimate corners perfect for a private moment.

Rome, with its timeless beauty and hidden corners, is the perfect setting to ask, “Will you marry me?” . But planning  a Rome proposal photoshoot event in an unfamiliar city can feel overwhelming. That’s where I come in—within my Rome proposal photoshoot I’m not just your photographer but I’ll be your guide and co-conspirator in crafting a flawless proposal.

I’m here to make the experience easy and stress-free for you.

She said YES. One Question. One Story.

1. MORE THAN JUST A PHOTOGRAPHER

As you look for a Rome proposal photoshoot photographer, you should choose a person who is reponsive and willing to listen your ideas but also your doubts.

Why me? I’ll guide you through every step of the planning process. As soon as you book a Rome proposal photoshoot together, I will be helping you choose the best location and timing, and working out all the details via WhatsApp or email. On the big day, I’ll blend into the background so you can focus on the moment, while I discreetly capture every emotion as it unfolds.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable and present. I’m an easygoing person, and my goal during your Rome proposal photoshoot is to create a relaxed atmosphere so that your proposal feels natural and intimate.

2. DONT STRESS TOO MUCH ABOUT PERFECTION

You don’t need everything to go exactly as you see on socials. What truly matters is the love and emotion you bring into that moment. Trust that your love will be enough — because it always is. Over the years, I’ve seen many kinds of proposals — from grand gestures with decorations and champagne to quiet moments shared in complete privacy.

You don’t need a “Marry Me” sign, a big setup, or a fancy restaurant to make the moment special. What matters most is the authenticity of what you feel. Some of the most touching proposals I’ve photographed were the simplest ones — no props, no distractions, just two people completely present with each other. The beauty of Rome will do the rest.

Many women deeply value that intimacy. The quietness, the surprise, the sincerity — these are the things that often move them to tears. When everything else fades away, what remains is the look you share, the trembling voice, the hug that comes right after. That’s the kind of emotion you’ll remember forever.

“That was the starting and ending point in life: love. The journey was everything in between.”

3. DON’T RUSH YOUR GIRLFRIEND

I know how much excitement (and a bit of nervousness) goes into this moment. You want everything to go smoothly — the timing, the location, the surprise. But sometimes, the best thing you can do is simply slow down and let it happen naturally.

Don’t pressure your girlfriend to arrive “on time” or hurry her to the spot — even if the light is perfect or we’ve agreed on a certain schedule (I’m used to wait heheh😄). A rushed moment can make her feel that something’s off, and part of the magic lies in her not expecting anything. Let her enjoy the walk, the atmosphere, the day. I’ll be there, quietly waiting and ready for whenever the moment feels right.

To avoid crowds, waking up early is worth it! I also love to shoot during ‘Golden Hour’, the first or last hour of sunlight which helps produce a softer and more warm light due to the indirect sunlight that is evenly diffused. AVOID anytime between 11am and 3 pm, since they tend to be the busiest and brightest times of the day.

All my photography packages are time-based. 1 hour is usually perfect for a small family or couple photo session, but if you plan on having 5 or more people I normally recommend at least 90 minutes. However, the size of your party is ultimately up to you!

If you cancel more than 3 days before your shoot date, I will honor a 100% deposit refund minus the 3% payment processor fee.
If you cancel 3 days or less before your shoot we will honor a 50% deposit refund.
If you cancel 1 day or less before the shoot, or do not show up to a shoot, there is no refund.

I will attempt to accommodate any rescheduling requests free of charge, but I cannot guarantee we will be able to do so. Last-minute changes are also not guaranteed. Shoot time missed due to late arrivals may be forfeited, and the number of photos delivered can be adjusted to reflect the actual time spent together.

Same-day shoots are not guaranteed.

We’ll get in touch a couple of days before the shooting and we check the forecast. In the case of bad weather, exploring the city under the rain can be exciting, and it will make for great photos (trust me!). If the weather conditions are really bad, we’ll coordinate to re-schedule or I will issue a full refund at my discretion.

Usually, yes, but sometimes I have booked the rest of my day around the location you’ve already chosen so it may not be possible. This is especially true in high season for last-minute changes. I will always try my best to accommodate you.

WHAT ARE THE BEST LOCATIONS FOR A SURPRISE PROPOSAL PHOTOSHOOT IN ROME?

Rome offers a magical blend of history, beauty, and timeless romance—making it the perfect setting for a Rome proposal photoshoot. Here are five of the most enchanting and meaningful locations to consider:

  1. Pincian Hill (Pincio Terrace)
Overlooking Piazza del Popolo, this elegant terrace offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the city, especially at sunrise. It’s peaceful in the early morning, filled with golden light, and creates an intimate atmosphere for a private, heartfelt moment.

  2. Villa Borghese Lake
Tucked away in the heart of Rome’s most romantic park, this small lake feels like a secret garden. You can propose near the water with the charming Temple of Aesculapius in the background—a dreamy, quiet spot that feels personal and poetic for your Rome proposal photoshoot.

  3. The Colosseum Viewpoint
If you want a dramatic and iconic backdrop, nothing beats the Colosseum. From these quieter spots, you can capture its grandeur without the crowds, especially early in the day. It’s a stunning mix of ancient history and unforgettable romance.

  4. The Roman Forum Viewpoint
This lesser-known terrace offers a striking view over the Roman Forum—ideal for Rome proposal photoshoot in the morning light. The ruins below tell centuries of stories, making it a symbolic place to start your own.

  5. The Orange Garden (Giardino degli Aranci)
This peaceful garden on the Aventine Hill combines lush greenery, a romantic walkway, and a view over the city that glows at sunset. Its calm and poetic vibe makes it perfect for a thoughtful, serene proposal.
